A PBS show is filming in Birmingham, Alabama. We’re looking for capable and eager PA’s who can work local to the area. Those without need of a hotel will be given priority.
This is a non-union, documentary-style television show. There may be the need for a PA to help with some runs on August 9th (this will be paid). There will also be some driving involved to make quick runs during the shoot. The ability to comfortably lift 50 pounds or so is very helpful, as this position will help crew and producers move gear, tables, etc. This is a very standard non-union PA job.
We really want great people with great attitudes. The crew is very close-knit, and everyone treats each other with compassion. We’d like to have people who are excited to learn new things. While runs, lock-ups, moving gear will be part of the job, we believe giving PA’s the chance to learn is an important part of the process as well.
